Light at the end of the tunnel...

We are continuing the conversion in the evenings and on the weekends. It seemed very slow going for a while but all of sudden, the pace has picked up and there is a definite light at the end of the tunnel.


The wood working phase has begun. The main counter top has been cut and fitted, all 8'9" of walnut butcher block countertop. The sink unit, table and a special drop down table have also been cut and fitted. Two coats of wax to the main counter top and the sink give the van a wonderful warm woody honey smell.


The shower unit with pantry cupboards has been installed and the water system is complete. We have hot running water!!!


CCTV cameras have been installed inside and outside - can't be too safe.


The wood stove now has a chimney! A bit of creative woodwork to make sure the angle we need would work and still make it straight through the roof of the van. We are still waiting for the chimney cap before we can fire it up inside the van but we had to cure the paint, so any excuse will do.
